Success!

This morning we got our very own German bank account with HypoVerseinsBank! Thank God for small successes. They will mail us our "ec" cards which are used like debit cards. Once we get those cards, we will have access to our money much easier. So, now that we are official account holders, we can go get a cell phone. I will post the number as soon as I can. Nathan and I have an appointment at the school tomorrow morning. They want to meet Nathan and get some info from us. They think Nathan should finish the year (until end of July) in the 3rd grade class and then go to 4th grade in September because they start school a year later here. Everyone agrees that he will pick up German quickly and be fluent before he has to go to high school in 5th grade. We are also planning on going to the government office to register our family and the dog in Herrsching on Friday. Everyone has to be registered whenever they move. The German government keeps tabs on everybody and all their pets. Last night we walked down to the local gelato shop and got some yummy gelato cones. Nathan got two scoops of "cookies ans cakes", Charlie got a scoop of blood orange and I got a scoop of coffee gelato. We walked along the lake and watched the sun setting. We could just see the Alps across the lake. Beautiful.
